Center for Teaching and Learning workshops are as creative as they are extensive. One session offered lessons from an iconic television show.

New Faculty Orientation provided a wealth of UT Dallas information and so much more for attendees, who appreciated the opportunity to hear about the University’s growth while also growing relationships with each other.

Attracting international students is nothing new for UT Dallas. But its appeal in Africa is expected to reach new heights with the opening of its new office in Lagos, Nigeria.

UT Dallas further develops academic leaders through Lead UTD, which Dr. Inga Musselman started when she became Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Musselman, program administrator Dr. Serenity Rose King and the faculty participants have a lot to say about why it’s important.

The 2024 winners of the Provost’s Award for Faculty Excellence in Research Mentoring are Dr. Shalini Prasad (graduates) and Dr. Benedict Kolber (undergraduates). It’s easy to see why they’re good at what they do — they’re passionate about it.

The 2024 Polykarp Kusch Lecture was delivered by Dr. Alain Bensoussan of the Naveen Jindal School of Management. Afterward, he had even more to say about why mathematics is so important.

Short-term Working Groups teach students skills that build their confidence and often could be applied to their post-graduate careers.

The Short-term Working Groups have ranged from the futuristic (making “space bricks”) to the prehistoric (creating a wooden 14-foot dinosaur, “Gertie”).

Dr. Salena Brody needed assistance with a big project and wondered if students would want to help. Did they ever. Their enthusiastic response paved the way for the Short-Term Working Groups.
