Curricular Services
Overview
Academic officials will work in concert with Dr. Inga H. Musselman, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, and Dr. Serenity Rose King, Associate Vice President for Institutional Success and Decision Support, to prepare proposals for new programs, substantive, non-substantive, and administrative changes.
King will route proposals to The University of Texas System (UT System), the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) for their review and approval as applicable.
Degree program approvals require preliminary authority requests which must be approved by Musselman prior to King submitting it to the THECB.
A consultation may be scheduled with King to explore or expedite the various program proposal processes. For additional assistance, please email Dr. Serenity Rose King in OISDS or call 972-883-6749.
