Professional Licensure Disclosure for the MS in Accounting and Analytics

UT Dallas offers a Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics program through the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM). The program prepares leaders to develop the professional skills identified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants deemed essential for providing the core accounting services across various fields, including corporate accounting, auditing, taxation, risk assurance, and government/nonprofit. Upon completion of the program, students may be eligible to sit for the U.S. CPA examination, provided they meet the requirements of each state’s board of public accountancy.

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy has a list of state boards in each of the 55 jurisdictions; they are recorded below. However, UT Dallas cannot determine whether the completion of its MS in Accounting and Analytics program will meet the educational requirements to apply for licensure as a CPA outside of Texas.

If you have any questions about professional licensure or certification, contact Tiffany Bortz, the Associate Area Coordinator, Accounting, at UT Dallas, to assist you.
