Upon successful completion of the PhD in Psychology, UT Dallas students will be able to understand, design, and conduct research in psychology, with specialized knowledge in at least one of the following areas: developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, or social/personality psychology with the following skills:

• Students will demonstrate the ability to teach in psychology, as evidenced through effective oral communication skills in the classroom, laboratory, or while presenting research findings.
• Students will demonstrate written communication skills through effective scientific writing.
• Students will demonstrate ability to plan and implement all aspects of a research project (design, analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings).
