The Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a tenured position at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level beginning August 2010, although the starting date is negotiable. Candidates in the area of nonlinear analysis are encouraged to apply. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in equivariant topological methods and their applications to dynamical systems with symmetries. Additionally, a successful candidate is expected to participate in the development of novel approaches to the teaching of mathematics for non-majors and in the improvement of the curriculum for majors in mathematical sciences and actuarial sciences.

Candidates should hold a PhD in mathematics and have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Candidates should be able to interact and collaborate with faculty members in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and in the School of Engineering and Computer Science, as well as with applied biomedical researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
