Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist (pcz130920)

The University of Texas at Dallas seeks applications for postdoctoral fellows in support of its research programs in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, and/or Mechanical Engineering. Successful candidates will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, a record of scholarly productivity appropriate to his or her history and discipline, a minimum of 3 - 5 years of extensive laboratory experience, and experience in supervising and/or collaborating with other researchers. Appointments vary in length between one and three years; specific start dates are negotiable. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interfaces with existing research projects or that cross disciplinary lines.

The Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science engages postdoctoral fellows to engage in extramural research in support of existing research programs and to assist in mentoring promising graduate students at all levels of expertise. Successful candidates may also engage in independent research projects. Some fellows may also be required to teach primarily at the main campus, although some courses may be taught at other locations throughout the Metroplex. Courses are offered between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and may include lecture, laboratory, seminar, and distance education formats, among others.
