The department was established in 2008, and currently has over 600 students enrolled, including 90 graduate students. The department currently has 14 tenured-system faculty members, and 4 senior lecturers. The department offers ABET-accredited BS, as well as MS and PhD degree programs in mechanical engineering.
Located in North Texas, home to hundreds of technology, large defense manufacturing and systems integrations companies, Jonsson School students have ample opportunities for real-world, hands-on training in fields relevant to their futures.
