Postdoctoral Research Associate - Neuroscience and Psychometrics Research Lab (pbu130417)
The Neuroscience and Psychometrics Research Lab at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to design, conduct, and analyze neuroimaging and behavioral studies of working memory in normal, aging, and impaired groups (including dementia, multiple sclerosis, and Gulf War-related syndromes).
UTD and UTSW have embarked on a multi-million dollar expansion of human neuroscience research that includes a new 6-story $60M Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC), Center for Brain Health and laboratories focused on research in neurocognitive aging and disease. These formal academic and administrative entities support neuroscientists, radiologists, neurologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, engineers, chemists, biomedical engineers, and computer scientists in the development and application of burgeoning imaging technologies in human neuroscience research.
The NPR lab is comprised of 3 state-of-the-art laboratories at the UTD main campus, the Center for Brain Health, and the AIRC. The AIRC houses several high-field, research-dedicated MR systems including research-dedicated Philips 3T and 7T Human systems. Experience with Linux/UNIX, MatIab, IOL, C++, and fMRl data analysis tools is preferred.
