The School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Communication, beginning as early as January 15, 2014 or June 1, 2014. The Senior Lecturer position entails teaching COMM 1311, a basic/hybrid survey course at the undergraduate level. COMM 1311 is a new core course that will be required for all students entering the University on the 2014-2016 catalog. The Senior Lecturer position also includes a leadership role in creating and administering the course.

Applicants should possess a doctoral or master's degree and have experience teaching the basic/hybrid survey course at the university or community college level. Preference will be given to applicants with experience creating and teaching online communication courses and who have administrative experience.

Review of applicants will begin November 1, 2013. Official transcripts must be submitted to the Faculty Records Office prior to the first day of official employment for those applicants selected to teach at the University.
